Landlord Tenant Dispute Resolution

Avoiding Disputes

Landlord Tenant Board

Resolution

While the disputes between landlords and tenants are usually avoided, legal consultation is definitely a must to avoid escalation once such disputes arise.

If the dispute is escalated and there’s a need to settle it legally, our services will take all the complexity out of your life and will put all the issues to rest for all parties.

Though the best results will be obtained if our team is involved as soon as there’s a dispute, we can be involved at any stage of the process to avoid further complications and extra costs.

Common Issues

Filing with the Landlord-Tenant Board

When the tenant doesn’t pay the rent payment, an application to enforce payments should be filed by the landlord. Additionally, when the payments are not made regularly, the landlord can get the order for eviction based on the Residential Tenancy Act. If you as a landlord are willing to get the eviction order, you should fill out some notices which are very important before attending a hearing. We are here to help you and convince the adjudicator that all requested notices were prepared and served according to the legal requirements.

As a tenant, if you have any problem with the house you must gain some legal advice in order to know what you can do legally before stopping your rent payments.

Some other issues such as property maintenance might lead to conflicts and should be addressed in a timely manner before LTB is involved.

Consulting with us might lead to an early resolution so you will not be involved in a lengthy and costly process of LTB hearings.
